Welcome to the first congressional district. Derry to be exact. It's one of 80 towns covered in CD-1 which covers Greater Manchester, the Seacoast and the Lakes Region.
Hello, I'm Beth Carroll. And welcome to New Hampshire Outlook.
With only days left before the November election, questions remain as to who will control Congress once the voting is over and how big a role Washington scandals will play in that vote.
In New Hampshire First Congressional District, incumbent Republican Jeb Bradley is facing a challenge from newcomer Carol Shea-Porter.
In this program, we'll hear from both candidates.
We begin with Shea-Porter, the Rochester woman who pulled off the upset in the September primary.
The 53-year-old Shea-Porter is a social worker. with an undergraduate and graduate degree from UNH.
She has served as the chair of the Rochester city Democrats.
Outlook's Richard Ager sat down with Shea-Porter to find out why she decided to run for Congress.

Incumbent Congressman Jeb Bradley is seeking a 3rd term in Washington.
The 54-year-old was first elected to Congress in 2002.
Bradley is a member of 4 committees including the Armed Services Committee and the Veterans' Affairs Committee.
Prior to becoming a member of Congress, Bradley owned a small business in Wolfeboro and served in NH's State Legislature for 12 years.
Outlook's Richard Ager spoke to the Congressman about his re-election bid and the troubles facing Republicans in Washington.
